History

The Peel Childbirth Educators' Network was formed in 1989 to function as a childbirth educators network and to advocate for quality childbirth education opportunities.

The Peel Childbirth Educators' Network has promoted professional education by hosting conferences for childbirth educators.

1994 – “Preparation for Childbirth – A Focus on Change” (1 day conference)

1996 – “Promoting Well-Being in Pregnancy & Beyond” (1 day conference)

1998 – “New Families, New Roles – Making it Work” (1 day conference)

2002 – “Labours of Love” (2 day conference)
            Day 1 “ Preparing Families for Childbirth & Breastfeeding”
            Day 2 “Breastfeeding: Traveling the Milky Way”

2007 – “Creative Teaching Strategies” (1 evening conference)
