Peel Childbirth Educators' Network

The purpose of PCEN is professional development and advocacy for childbearing families in Peel and surrounding areas.

Objectives:

  1. To share current hospital, obstetrical, midwifery and community practices in order to provide best practice information to childbearing families.

  2. To provide evidence-informed educational opportunities for health care providers of the childbearing family.

  3. To promote access to childbirth education to childbearing families.

  4. To have a representation of childbirth educators from across Peel.

PCEN was formed in 1989.

Childbirth Educators enjoyed an evening of good food, learning - both cutting edge information and hands-on skill develpoment - as well as invaluable networking.

  1. Social Media and Childbirth by Tracey Ruiz
  2. Incorporating Lamaze Healthy Birth Practices into Prenatal Classes by Susan Stokes and Lisa Keenan-Lindsay.
